Today we sailed from Amsterdam to the “Markerwadden”. We were planning on going to Lelystad first, but we made the right decision going here. Is is beautiful. We departed at 9:13 in Amsterdam, pretty early, because the weather was going to be bad. While sailing on the Markermeer we got a scare it was going to be bad. So we went into the nearest harbour and waited for the storm to be over. But it wasn’t necessary because there was no storm: false alarm. When we left the harbour we sailed to the Markerwadden without any more stops, we arrive there at 4:30pm.

When we arrived we went swimming almost immediately, there is a beach near the harbour we’re staying. Because there was so much wind, the waves were really high. We had noticed that while sailing, but while swimming, they we’re really fun, we could jump into the waves over and over.

After dinner we went for an evening walk, watch birds. Just few minutes before we arrived at the building where we could get a closer view at the birds, it started raining. And not just a little bit of rain. It was more than a couple of drops. We ran inside the building as fast as we could! When it stopped raining, we took another path back to the boat. And of course, my dad wanted to make a film walking us through the landscape. It took it’s usual time and we were too late. So again it started pouring again. And this time there was nowhere to hide, so we had to walk further.

Finally we arrived at the boat we played a few games, ate chips and drank hot chocolate. Afterwards, we went to bed. ‘Cause tomorrow we have a long trip scheduled.
